Accela Mobile 311 is a native iPhone app that enables residents, visitors and other members of the public to take an active role in their community by requesting services from or reporting incidents to their local agency. The app ties directly into an agency's Accela Automation system to ensure that incoming information will be tracked and assigned to the appropriate departments, so that the item will be addressed in the most efficient and effective manner.
Accela Mobile 311 is available directly from Accela, and is designed to enhance the public's interaction with their local agency for a range of issues including: service requests, requests for information, reporting on the condition of public works assets, code enforcement cases, and more.
Benefits • Integrated end-to-end solution ensures consistent, reliable, accurate information from submittal by a member of
the community through closure by your agency • Pinpoint exact location of conditions with accurate geospatial data and property information • Receive additional comments including a photo to help with submittal assessment and reduce the need for a
site visit • The status of each submittal is prominently displayed in the app, so that the submitter can get up-to-the-minute
information on the status of submittals without contacting the agency
Key Features Connects to Accela Automation
Unlike many 311 apps available today, Accela's Mobile 311 app connects directly to your Accela Automation system. It functions as a complete solution to help your departments efficiently receive and manage incoming requests, as well as schedule and dispatch agency staff, through GPS-enabled mobile devices.
Geolocate Addresses from the Map
Accela Mobile 311 helps agencies prioritize and manage incoming requests by leveraging their Esri maps. Maps in Accela Automation can show if an incident has been previously reported at the same location as well as to identify duplicate requests.
Exact Address Match
Powered by Esri's ArcGIS map engine, Accela Mobile 311 provides geolocation capability to help the public and local agencies by automatically detecting the physical location of the device and enabling color coded push pins to reflect the spot where an incident has occurred or service is needed. If necessary a pin can be moved to the precise location of the incident.
Upload and Submit Photos
A citizen can take a photo using their iPhone camera and attach the photo to the submittal, or select an image from their photo album to attach. Optionally, the address can be edited, comments added, and contact information entered. The record ID and initial status are displayed for successful submittals, a push pin with the location of the record is added to the map, and the record is added to the record history list and updated with current status by the agency.
